Kalle Salonen

Kalle Salonen is a Finnish groove jazz musician and composer whose main instrument is the Hammond organ. Salonen has previously recorded two long-playing albums, Cat Slide (2013) and Barracuda Man (2016). Salonen has toured solo, with the duo Kalle Salonen & Antero Priha, and with the bands Kalle Salonen and Organ Free. Over the years, Salonen has also hosted a Hammond club at Bar Loose and the late Elmu's Nosturi in Helsinki, and has worked as a radio show host at Radio Helsinki. In addition to his own band, Salonen has performed with Jukka Gustavson, Sam Heat, Marzi Nyman, Pepe Willberg, Marko Haavisto, Hannu Pikkarainen, Teuvo Merkkiniemi, Pekka Gröhn, Janne Salonen, Antero Priha and Panu Syrjänen.
