Pelle & Romantiks - Konerunoja LP

Konerunoja is based on the aesthetics of the 1920s, and follows in the footsteps of the Firebearers in its modernism. The multi-artistic work is the result of a unique collaboration, and ambitiously seeks to develop a rare genre of poetry writing. Pelle Romantique's previous poetry LP (with Death-Duo) was awarded Poetry of the Year 2019 (Nihil Interit).

Pelle Romantique is responsible for the lyrics and recitation of the album and Sami Sippola and Matti Salo for the compositions. Risto Ylihärsilä has produced and recorded the album.

The musicians on the album are Ville Rauhala (double bass), Janne Tuomi and Sebastian Krühn (percussion), Matti Salo (guitar), Kielo Kärkkäinen (vocals, recitation), Risto Ylihärsilä (synthesizers) and Sami Sippola (saxophone, keyboards). The album also features guest appearances by Maria Mattila (recitation), Mikko Siltanen (lapsteel), Jarno Laaksonen (violin) and Pecka Peckersson (lathe, pneumatic hammer). Arrangements are by Sami Sippola, Risto Ylihärsilä and Pelle Romantique.
