Pertin Valinta Gallery
The joint gallery initiative by Tiketti and Pertin Valinta builds a bridge between outsiders and insiders in the art world. The gallery provides a space for both ready-made exhibition concepts and new collaborative projects.
The theme of the exhibitions is "Encounters" (Kohtaamisia). The gallery program features four exhibitions throughout the year:
Encounters 1: March 6 – April 4, 2026
Encounters 2: May 8 – May 29, 2026
Encounters 3: September 4 – October 3, 2026
Encounters 4: November 20 – December 19, 2026
The exhibitions are produced inclusively through an open call, and the public is also invited to suggest interesting encounters. The goal is to create multidisciplinary encounters between the visual arts, music, performing arts, and other forms of creative expression. The exhibitions are both curated and produced inclusively. All proceeds from the exhibitions are directed towards supporting the employment of outsider artists.
The aim of this collaboration is to promote equality and diversity within the creative sectors by highlighting marginalized creators and developing more inclusive operating models for the industry.
Encounters 3: RISTO PUURUNEN X ZHERBIN & KSENIA VOY KHENINEN
Encounters 3 is artificial intelligence art without the artificial intelligence.
The joint exhibition by Zherbin & Ksenia Voy Kheninen and Risto Puurunen gives space to three artists with distinctive, innovative voices, who create an interactive body of work in the gallery — one that every visitor reshapes into a new and unique version.
In the artists' hands, clay, scrap metal, wire, light, glass, sound waves and objects found in the surroundings take shape as interactive works. The works give form to the world as organic, artificial objects, standing as a monument to an era in which technology persistently attempts to imitate mortals.
The exhibition has been curated by photographer Pekka Elomaa together with the gallery's working group.
OPENING ON THURSDAY 3 SEPTEMBER 2026, 5–7 PM
Opening speeches and a conversation between the artists on making art and on the interfaces of art from 5.30 pm — the audience is welcome to join the discussion. The band Yhteiset Kainalot plays the exhibition's artworks at 6.15 pm.
The opening is open to all and admission is free. Sign up for the opening here.

Pertin Valinta Open Call for exhibitions
The exhibition open call for Pertin Valinta Gallery is open and the exhibitions will be chosen in autumn 2026. Exhibitions are curated and produced inclusively. The gallery program seeks multidisciplinary and inspiring exhibition ideas from outsider artists and working groups in Finland and internationally. You can send an open application to info@pertinvalinta.fi
Exhibition fees are: for art organizations €2,500, for artists and artist groups €1,500. We can grant a scholarship with special justification that covers the gallery's exhibition fee. The price includes gallery space rental, as well as support in exhibition production, curation, and communication.
Pertin Valinta develops a model of inclusive curation that enables outsider art creators equal participation and influence in the art field. Selections are made by an artistic working group that includes outsider art creators from different fields and artist mentors. In addition to the open call, exhibition programs are also curated by invitation.
There is a 30% commission on artwork sales. The gallery's revenue is used to employ special groups.
Exhibition production is carried out in collaboration with Tiketti.
