Ester Nuori Leppä - Polka Memoriam LP

ESTER NUORI LEPPÄ made a personal rap record. POLKA MEMORIAM is a farewell to the artists' alter ego, Polka, who lives in a mental hospital. It's saying goodbye to your illness. Polka memoriam is a fresh, clean start.

"In 2016, I fell ill with psychosis. I acted many different characters like Tove Jansson and Jesus. I gave flowers and money to strangers. I made performances wherever. Finally I was taken to the hospital. Depression and a lifelong trauma started from the illness. The Polka Memoriam album is the going through this trauma with rap, but also a new beginning. Polka is an alter ego who stayed in the hospital," says Nuori Leppä.

In part, the album is also a lyrical reflection on the end of the world and the plasticity of life.
The album rises from the gloomy waters to the B-side, elevated by a cheerful horn section. Asa also makes a guest appearance in the song Muoviset eläimet. Felabay and big rami e are responsible for the beats on the album.
