Short work description: They are like dragons but cats

Otto Kasvio is a versatile artist who has recently focused on acrylic painting and drypoint graphics. She graduated as a visual craftsman from the Kaarisilta Art and Activity Center in 2014, after which she has worked at the Autism Foundation's Vallila Guidance and Coaching Services Art Studio. Kasvio has had numerous group and solo exhibitions over the years, since childhood.

Cats and Japan are a major inspiration in Kasvio's art. The works are often graphic and utilize repetition. At the festival, Kasvio will be showing acrylic paintings exploring the cat theme, "Untitled cat" and "Nippon Neko", as well as the graphic work "Salmon cats greet Thevre".

Curators' comments: “Kasvio’s painting style is vibrant and colorful, but the water-acrylic painting technique makes it subtle. Oto’s works deserve to be featured!”
